Aims of Assie :

To inform and offer support to patients:

To supply the patients with addresses of Therapeutic Centres where Hyperthermia is applied.
To find welcome points near to Therapeutic Centres for patients and relatives.
To sub-edit and spread a newspaper to be read and to be written by everyone through aid of telematics with title Forum/News which can be found in our web-site.

2.	To manage a school and therefore to organize refresher courses for doctors relative to the argument: “How, when, why the oncological Hyperthermia”.

3.	To prepare a Database, by using registration-cards of patients, which could be an international reference for protocols and results verification for oncological Hyperthermia.

4.	To establish a Scientific Committee, which through critical estimate of present data in literature and the continuous bringing up to date with new experiences, could study standard protocols for therapeutic application of Hypertermia in Oncology and could give indications of new way to cover.

5.	To create new contacts favouring experiences exchange among doctors and researchers to promote a realization of multi-centres and multimodal studies (HT+CHT+RT) which, using the above-mentioned standard protocols, give the possibility to value a statistically significant number of patients.

To offer collaboration and consultation to producers of machines for Hyperthermia in order also to increase the development, the production and the drawing up of relative didactics:

Extracorporeal perfusional heating systems of peritoneal, pleural and bladder cavities combined with cytostatic / cytotoxics or immune-stimulators.
Warm air perfusional systems for treatment of lung cancers and breathing-ways.
New therapeutic possibilities by induction of artificial fever with Physical Systems.

7.	To sensitize medicinal drugs producers, cytostatic / cytotoxics or immune-stimulators made active from heat, to optimize therapeutic use of said molecules combined with Hyperthermic-Systems so that the collateral effects can be reduced to minimum.

8.	To perfect Phantom models which are always more bio-similar in order to verify efficiency of machines in production.

To develop and increase new diagnostic systems diffusion, in particular for creation of a diagnostic method that measures terrain where a cancer could hide. It could be done through an electrochemical reading of blood, urine, saliva, to estimate the differences among parameters of tissues those ones called “normal”.
We could also have a “Cancer Prophylaxis” on population.

10.	To organize Hyperthermia Text-Books printing and diffusion of same.

11.	To collect patients’, relatives’ and doctors’ testimonies relative to stories of Oncological Hyperthermia Treatments in order to write a book.
